Jon is an alumnus of three large national law firms where his practice focused on business law, mergers & acquisitions and securities registration and regulation. Mitch Mallin (curriculum vitae
) serves in an advisory role. He is a Pension Actuary with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan in Actuarial Science and actuarial experience since 1965. A practicing actuary for more than 40 years, Mitch has concentrated his practice in the area of retirement plans for the last 33 years, 25 of which he was a Pension Consultant at Watson Wyatt Company. He has reviewed, drafted and revised QDROs and other types of divorce-related division orders since the enactment of the Retirement Equity Act in 1984. He was recognized by the government as an Enrolled Actuary and he was a member of the Academy of Actuaries for 16 years. Mitch is a past president of the Michigan Actuarial Society. He has been a speaker for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and the Family Law Section of the Washtenaw County Bar Association. His expert opinion on retirement plan divisions have been sought by judges in Michigan and other states. Mitch has prepared thousands of QDROs.
